Kamisama no Memo-chou

Alarisia recently recommended this show to me about a week or two ago when I was really craving a mystery and within the first episode Kamisama no Memo-chou totally hooked me. The show is centered around high school student, Narumi Fujushima, who, after transferring to a new school, is invited to join the Gardening Club by fellow classmate,  Ayaka Shinozaki, and is then introduced to the NEET detective Alice. Narumi ends up following Alice through various adventures involving three other NEETs (a gigolo, a military nut, and a street tough) and even a local gang.

While this show is technically a mystery/detective anime I really felt it was more of a drama show.  Therefore, the part of this anime that really shined was the steady progression of character development. I loved each and every character in this anime and thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow and evolve as they worked their way through the various story arcs.

Kamisama no Memo-chou is only 12 episodes, so its a very quick watch. It probably won’t end up being one of my all-time favorites but it is easy to watch with no deep plot lines or complex underlying themes. I recommend that those of you who are looking for something fun to watch, with a little mystery thrown in then you should definately check it out! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
